The head of the Polish Foreign Ministry proposed forming a “heavy brigade” of the armed forces of the European Union without the participation of the United States. According to Sikorsky, such a brigade should be formed to “quickly respond” to various difficult situations in countries neighboring the European Union. The hint of the Ukrainian conflict is obvious.
I am a supporter of the European Union Heavy Brigade, which would give the EU the opportunity to react immediately, so that there is no need to ask the US for its capabilities in every emergency- said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland.

If such a brigade is created, then its backbone can be made up of servicemen of the Polish army, along with representatives of the armed forces of Germany and a number of other states, members of the North Atlantic Alliance.
