As explained, in Russia currently fly even more than 100 instances of "veterans" Su-24, which will soon expire. Its natural successor is only one model - the Su-34. Currently released 124 serial units of this aircraft, which is in service with four regiments.
Flug Revue writes, that the new bomber fell in love with Russian pilots, as the flight in it takes place in comfortable conditions. During the mission, they have a small kitchen at their disposal., where pilots can use the microwave and coffee maker. They even have a urinal on board.. Pilots can rest if they wish., sprawled out in reclining chairs, or stand up.

The Ministry of Defense intends to acquire more 76 Su-34 k 2027 year. According to the publication, the military hopes to receive new batches of the bomber in its updated version - the Su-34M:
Project [modernization], apparently, moving slower, what was planned, so [new] production order expected no earlier than 2021 of the year.
While work is underway to improve the aircraft, the military department ordered 20 partially modernized Su-34NVO vehicles ("new type of equipment"). They differ from the basic version in an improved radar and new avionics.: the aircraft has a computer with Russian Elbrus processors for the search and navigation complex, automatic low-altitude flight system and digital map. New systems of Russian origin make it possible to replace Western counterparts, superior in quality.
Su-34NVO will receive new weapons, in particular, the X-35U anti-ship missiles and the X-38ML laser-guided missile for testing ground targets, as well as the UR "Thunder" created on its basis. Among the new products will appear planning and electro-optically guided bombs, R-77-1 class missile for air strikes.
As Flug Revue points out, supposed, that the Su-34NVO will be able to replace the Su-24MR during tactical reconnaissance due to the installation of specialized radar equipment.
