Officer of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan was killed during the planned works on the disposal of ammunition fragments, collected from the burned-out military depots in Arys. It is reported by the press service of the Kazakh Defense Ministry.
According to the military department, during the destruction of fragments of ammunition on the territory of a special test site, there was a premature detonation of the ammunition. Explosion injured, incompatible with life, received a senior group of sappers, chief of engineering service of a military unit, Major Akishev A.S. It is emphasized, that the disposal work was carried out in compliance with the necessary safety measures.
11 October during the planned work on the destruction of collected fragments of ammunition on the territory of a specially equipped training ground (at 60 km from the city of Arys) there was a premature detonation of a fragment of ammunition. As a result, the senior group, chief of engineering service of a military unit, Major Akishev A.S. got injured, incompatible with life

Currently, a special group of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan is working at the scene., which will establish all the circumstances of the incident.
Recall, what a fire, which caused the explosion of ammunition in military warehouses near Arys, broke out 24 June this year. Three people died, one civilian and two military. Injured more than 400 human. City residents were evacuated. After the end of the fire, sappers work in the former military depots, still eliminating the consequences. 14 September this year, during the work on the disposal of ammunition, they were injured 4 servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and a week later, 21 September, involuntary detonation of ammunition led to injury immediately 10 Kazakh military.
