The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova commented on the situation with the equipment in the Norwegian Tromsø separate port infrastructure for receiving nuclear submarines. The decision to build this infrastructure was made by the Norwegian Government in the framework of the NATO program to strengthen its military presence in the Arctic.

Maria Zakharova said in a briefing, that recently Norway are increasingly uses its own territory and waters for purposes obschenatovskih, including the most extensive in the past decade, military exercises.

AT 2019 , this list will replenish contribution to the creation of infrastructure for servicing submarines in the North Atlantic. Near the northern Norwegian Tromsø it will be equipped with a separate port for receiving nuclear submarines.
According to the official representative of Russian Foreign Ministry, Oslo continues a policy of escalation of relations with Russia in spite of the historical traditions of good-neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation in the Arctic, including Svalbard.
Maria Zakharova added, that Russia will take all necessary measures to ensure its security in the region.
Earlier it was reported about the large-scale modernization and Reconstructive military-technical activities in Norway. So, in this country bordering Russia, NATO is working on several military airfields for their adoption by retrofitting aircraft of various types, including strategic aviation. And on the island of Varde built a new radar station.
