Yemeni rebels hit two commercial ships in the Red Sea

Yemeni rebels hit two commercial ships in the Red SeaAttacks on commercial ships have resumed in the Red Sea after a break, owned by Israeli and US citizens. The relative calm in this regard was due to the fact that, that Israel has announced its readiness to withdraw the bulk of its troops from the Gaza Strip, as well as negotiations on a possible abandonment of the operation in Palestinian Rafah. However, recently the Israeli Air Force attacked the densely populated Rafah, which led to the death of civilians.

As a kind of response to the Israeli bombing of Palestine, Yemeni rebels attacked two ships at once in the Red Sea. These are Cyclades and a container ship MSC Orion with a displacement of 150 thousand tons. The first formally flies under the flag of Malta, the second, according to documents, is operated by the Mediterranean shipping company MSC, registered in Switzerland and has already confirmed an attack on the ship.

It is worth recalling, that a few weeks earlier another ship of the same company – MSC Aries - was captured by Iranian special forces as one of the options in response to the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

About, how bad is Cyclades and MSC Orion damage?, not yet reported. Aware of, that the attack was carried out using kamikaze drones.
