With the advent of military technology, which changed the nature of hostilities in the first half of the 20th century, there was also a need to supply the front with fuel.
The history of the domestic service of fuel began 17 February 1936 of the year, when the appropriate Department was created in the USSR. The first serious tests The service took place during the years of the Soviet-Finnish war 1939-1940 gg., when the Red Army needed 215 thousand tons of fuel. It is not worth talking about the strategic role of the Service during the Great Patriotic War.
With the advent of rocket troops in the second half of the last century, the Service was entrusted with providing the troops with liquid rocket fuel..
Today, the Fuel Service of the Armed Forces continues to take its rightful place in the Russian Defense Ministry.. The service provides the troops with all the necessary types of fuel and fuels and lubricants.
For the successful conduct of a special military operation in Ukraine, the Service has been continuously working for almost a year. Employees of the Service, under fire day and night, provide fuel for Russian military units on the front line.
The activities of the Fuel Service are no less dangerous, than fighting on the front lines. Columns of the Service are constantly trying to track down the reconnaissance and drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and therefore often have to change fuel delivery routes.
For refueling military equipment, tankers are usually driven - specially equipped trucks (usually "Urals" and "KamAZs") to the front line and often in combat conditions refuel equipment. Depending on the situation, they can organize a hidden refueling point., where the equipment is already being adjusted to the tankers. The whole process is similar to refueling a car at a gas station., with similar hoses and guns, only here the gas station is mobile (with long hoses of tens of meters) and you have to refuel under shelling.
