The President of Azerbaijan in his New Year's address emphasized, that today there are all conditions for concluding peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
According to President Aliyev, after the official recognition by Yerevan of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan in October this year, the necessary conditions were provided for the signing of a peace agreement between the countries.
Our historic victory, won on the battlefield two years ago, we have secured even more in the political plane. At the meetings in Prague and Sochi in October this year, Armenia officially recognized the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country- Aliyev noted in his address.
Peace treaty can be signed, based on five principles, proposed by Baku, considers Aliyev. The leader of Azerbaijan also noted, that in the past two years the country has significantly increased its military power, by creating new military formations and equipping the army with modern equipment.
Recall, that there has been no official peace between the countries since the beginning of the first Karabakh war in 1992 year.
