First Be-200ES for the Ministry of Defense arrives in Yeysk
The first Be-200ES amphibious aircraft for the Russian Ministry of Defense 14 July 2020 year arrived in Yeisk. The meeting of the aircraft took place in the 190th mixed training aviation regiment on the basis of the 859th Center for combat training and retraining of flight personnel of the Naval Aviation of the Russian Navy.

The plane got its own name “Alexander Mamkin” in honor of the civil pilot Alexander Mamkin, who took part in the operation “Star” for evacuation to the rear in 1944 year pupils of Polotsk orphanage №1.

As the bmpd blog reports, this Be-200ES is the first, built under a revised contract, signed in 2018 year of the Ministry of Defense with the UAC for the supply of three Be-200ES aircraft to the Naval Aviation of the Navy. The aircraft will be delivered in version “search and rescue” with extinguishing function. The other two planes must be delivered to the end 2020 of the year, however, this raises some doubts.

The first contract for the supply of six Be-200 amphibious aircraft to the Ministry of Defense – two Be-200ES aircraft and four modified Be-200PS aircraft (without fire extinguishing function) – was imprisoned in 2013 year. AT 2017 the contract was terminated due to the impossibility of TANTK to build aircraft. AT 2018 the contract was renewed, having ordered only three Be-200ES.

Before, in its turn, nine Be-200 aircraft were built – two flight prototypes at TANTK and seven serial Be-200ES at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant with 2003 by 2011 of the year. Six of them were supplied by the Russian Emergencies Ministry and one – Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan. In this way, all built 16 flight copies of the Be-200.
