Preparing a Heavy Aircraft Cruiser “Admiral Kuznetsov” to factory sea trials should end by autumn 2022 of the year. As follows from the materials, posted by the ship repair center “Star” on the public procurement website, the company plans to 1 September 2022 years finish painting the cruiser.
“Star” posted on the website a notice of an order for the execution of work on painting the external surfaces of the cruiser “Admiral Kuznetsov”, work must be done before 1 September 2020 of the year. According to general practice, adopted at the enterprises of the shipbuilding industry, after completion of painting work, the ship goes to factory sea trials.
In the press service of the Center for ship repair “Star” the availability of such plans was confirmed.
Recall, that works on repair and modernization of TAVKR “Admiral Kuznetsov” started in 2017 year. It was originally planned, that the cruiser will be delivered to the customer in 2020 year, but a series of accidents on the ship led to, that the timing of the return of TAVKR began to shift to the right. According to the latest information, voiced by the head of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) Alexey Rakhmanov, most likely the cruiser will be delivered to the customer at the end 2022 of the year.
Currently “Admiral Kuznetsov” located at the 35th shipyard in Murmansk (branch “Stars”), where work continues to create a dry dock, including for docking TAVKR. As previously reported, work is delayed, commissioning of the dock moved from 2020 year 2021.
