Second serial small missile ship (RCM) project 22800 (code “Karakuri”) “Odintsovo” completely ready for passing sea trials, which will begin soon. This was reported by Mil.Press FlotProm, citing a source in the shipbuilding industry.
As the newspaper writes, a marine version of the anti-aircraft missile and artillery complex was installed on the ship “Carapace M”. In late April, the ship got demagnetized, mooring trials began in mid-February.
At present, MRK is preparing to enter the factory sea trials., which were supposed to begin in April, but due to the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection were postponed indefinitely. Ship crew, trained at the Joint Training Center of the Russian Navy in St. Petersburg, is on board the MRK and prepares him for access to the sea.
As previously reported, RTOs are planned to be transferred to the Navy before the end of this year, ship will go to the Baltic.
As explained in the press service of the enterprise, RCM “Odintsovo” is the first production ship of this project, received the marine version of the air defense system “Carapace M”, the lead ship of the series and the first serial RTOs received 30-mm AK-630 artillery mounts.
RCM “Odintsovo” (earlier – “Squall) is the third ship in the series, laid on Pella and the second serial after the head “Mytishchi” and the first production “Sovetsk”, already included in the Baltic Fleet. Laid / Launched 29 July 2016/ 5 May 2018 of the year.
MRK this project have a length 67 m, width – 11 meters and a draft of – 4 m. Displacement – about 800 tonnes, cruising range – to 2500 miles, autonomy – 15 day. power plant – three M-507D-1 diesel engines and three DGAS-315 diesel generators.
The main armament – One PU UKSK (Universal ship complex) 3S14 RK on 8 KR “Caliber”, one 76-mm gun mounts AK-176MA, AIR “Carapace M”, Two 14.5 mm or 12.7 mm machine gun installation MTPU.
