Tajikistani special forces will fulfill peacekeeping tasks in the course of teaching, conducted in the United States, the newspaper MIC by the representative of the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan Colonel Faridun Mahmadalizody.
According to Colonel, The main goal of the Steppe Eagle-2018 exercise is to work out tasks in military peacekeeping operations according to UN standards.
The military will also work out the organization of command and control, conducting office procedures, used in multinational headquarters, and interaction of international military contingents. Besides, classes will be organized to study the experience of colleagues from other countries.
Task Force of Special Forces of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan has already left for maneuvers, which will be held in the state of South Carolina at the McCready training ground.
The event will last until 23 August inclusive. In addition to the military personnel of the United States and Tajikistan, units from the UK will take part in them, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Exercises "Steppe Eagle" are held from 2003 of the year. FROM 2012 years they began to be held within the framework of the Partnership for Peace project with the invitation of a wide range of participants. The program allows you to develop a common approach of the military authorities to the procedure for planning operations. This is mainly about the actions of NATO and the UN.
