BREM-K – wheeled Armored Recovery Vehicle is designed for evacuation of damaged armored personnel carriers and other vehicles on the equivalent weight of the combat zone and to provide maintenance and repair in the field.
BREM-K developed by the design bureau of Gorky Automobile Plant on the basis of wheeled armored personnel carriers BTR-80 and put into service in 1993 year. The prototype machine was built in 1988 year.
BREM-K armored corps has, protects the crew from small arms bullets and small fragments, system of protection against weapons of mass destruction (OMP) a filtering unit, fire protection system, as well as special equipment for repair and recovery. The machine is able to overcome water obstacles swimming.
