The Moscow Arbitration Court terminated the contract of the Russian Defense Ministry with the Ukrainian Design Bureau “South” for development work to extend the service life of strategic missiles “voivod”, follows from the information in the file of arbitration cases.
Besides, the court ordered the design bureau to pay the defense department about 1,1 billion rubles of penalty for non-fulfillment of contractual obligations.
The department demanded to recover from KB 915,6 million rubles penalties for failure to comply with the terms of the contract, 183,6 million rubles of unjust enrichment (paid, but not done work) and 3,2 million rubles percent.
AT “Southern”, in its turn, pointed that out, that the disruption of orders is associated with a ban on military cooperation with Russia, which was previously introduced by the Kyiv authorities. He was called in KB “force majeure”, but the court rejected this argument..
