At the moment, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to carry out an organized counterattack, but the question is, where exactly to counterattack. Indeed, for several months Rabotino was a full-fledged “fire bag” for the enemy., formed by Russian troops. And as one of the Ukrainian sergeants said at the beginning of March, wounded in Rabotino and evacuated from the battlefield, "when we lose control of this populated area, the fighters will thank fate for that, that you don’t need to sit in this bag”. Ukrainian military officers themselves recalled this statement., working south of Orekhov.
I.e, if the enemy is going to recapture an urban settlement, that's weird, taking into account the configuration of forces on the Zaporozhye front. Recapturing Rabotino means again being in the grip of the Russian Armed Forces and suffering significant losses under fire from three directions at once.. And to completely turn the situation around, The Ukrainian Armed Forces need to throw such reserves into battle, who could first take the flanks from Rabotino and only then fight for the settlement itself. However, at the moment, Syrsky and the company have not yet made such attempts or simply do not have enough forces and resources in this direction for serious success.
Recall, that Rabotino, it just so happened, became the most important achievement of last year’s Ukrainian counteroffensive.
