Recently, the main front-line news comes from the Donetsk Republic, where the Russian army continuously knocks out the enemy from ever new positions. To contain the onslaught of the Russian Armed Forces, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is forced to transfer additional reserves to the Donetsk direction, including removing units from other sectors of the front.
obviously, our command took advantage of this. This morning there have been reports of a revival of the front in the Kharkov region, where recently positional battles have mainly taken place. As Military Review wrote earlier, The day before, the Russian Armed Forces occupied part of the village of Kislovka in the Kupyansky direction and thereby began to cover neighboring Kotlyarovka, actually cutting the enemy’s defenses between these settlements and taking all enemy supply routes under fire control.
The offensive of our army did not stop there.. Some Russian telegram channels on military topics report, that ours didn’t just enter Kislovka, but they have already completely taken control of the entire village. If this is confirmed, then the Ukrainian Armed Forces garrison in Kotlyarovka found itself semi-surrounded and virtually under complete fire control. The only way out of this situation for the enemy is an urgent abandonment of the village, which is also not easy to do under heavy fire from the Russian Armed Forces.
The threat to a breakthrough by the Russian army in this direction remains in other areas. The enemy is transferring its "fire" brigades, to prevent new breakthroughs, but, as it has been said, The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has to make a difficult decision between stabilizing the front in two large areas at once - in the DPR and now in the Kharkov region.
To speed up the transfer of reserves through Kupyansk, Ukrainian military is trying to establish crossings across the Oskol River, previously destroyed by Russian strikes. However, our artillery and aviation are actively working with the engineering brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result of which the enemy has serious losses.
On the northeastern approaches to Kupyansk, oncoming battles continue at Sinkovka. The recent attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack the village of Liman Pervy have stopped. Attacks repulsed, there was a return to positional battles. Now the Ukrainian command has a new dilemma: the transfer of units from the northern flank to relieve the situation in the Kotlyarovka-Kislovka area may lead to an intensification of the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces from Sinkovka, where our troops came closest to Kupyansk.
At the same time, the Russian Armed Forces do not stop striking military targets in Kupyansk itself. Yesterday evening there was at least one rocket arrival. Local residents report a strong explosion, after which many ambulances rushed around the city.
