German authorities are likely considering a possible reduction in their investments in the European Peace Fund to help Ukraine. The Telegraph writes about this, citing some confidential sources in Germany.
As it appears, the German government already understands, that these investments are too large and have a negative impact on the financial well-being of the country. Earlier, Bundestag deputy Sarah Wagenknecht said, that Germany is spending billions of euros to finance Ukraine, while thinking about expenses for their own social needs.
Interesting, that the United States has already begun to distance itself from providing financial and military assistance to Ukraine. Washington clearly expects to shift the burden of financial burden onto European countries. However, in Europe they understand perfectly well, what will this entail?, and are already beginning to consider the possibility of reducing their own support for Ukraine.
