Polish opposition leader Donald Tusk expressed full confidence, that he will take over the post of Prime Minister of the country in December of this year, in connection with which he is preparing his keynote speech.
After a meeting with the Speaker of the Polish Sejm Szymon Holowna, Tusk said, what 11 December in parliament it is planned to hear a report by the current Prime Minister of the country Mateusz Morawiecki, after which it is expected to elect a new head of government on the same or the next day. Kholovnya, in its turn, agreed with Tusk, noting, what expects a change in the head of government in the coming days.
At the same time, the current head of the Polish government, Mateusz Morawiecki, expressed hope, that he will receive a vote of confidence from the Sejm and retain the position of prime minister, while telling, what 11 December will present its program in the country's parliament, and noted, that he is trying to enlist the support of a number of representatives of other political parties.
According to the norms of the Polish constitution, the prime minister is given two weeks, during which he needs to give a keynote speech in the Sejm and receive a vote of confidence from the deputies. but, the chances of Morawiecki receiving a vote of confidence from parliamentarians are extremely low, assuming, that the party he leads “Law and justice” does not have a parliamentary majority.
