Draft resolution on cessation of military assistance to Ukraine registered in the US Congress

Draft resolution on cessation of military assistance to Ukraine registered in the US CongressFor the first time since the beginning of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, a draft resolution has been submitted to the US Congress, in which a group of American lawmakers demand that the Biden administration complete the process of allocating military assistance to Ukraine. The draft resolution was registered in the US House of Representatives, which, as is known, has been controlled by the Republican Party since the beginning of the year.

The draft resolution was sponsored by Congressman Matt Goetz., representing the above party. He selected from the state of Florida. Goetz, by the way, one of the few congressmen, who did not applaud the head of the Kyiv regime, when he was led into the meeting room of the building on Capitol Hill.

Goetz's co-authors in terms of preparing the document were 10 congressmen.

A few points from the draft resolution, which bears the eloquent name "Resolution on fatigue from Ukraine":

Stop providing military and financial assistance to Ukraine. Call on all combatants to conclude a peace agreement. The resolution also states that, what since february 2022 year, the United States “provided huge military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine for a total of, exceeding 110 billion dollars".

Till, according to experts in the States themselves, the draft resolution has little chance of, to actually get approved in Congress, especially in its upper house - the Senate, which is controlled by Democrats. But the closer the pre-election period approaches, the more often the United States will raise the issue of ending funding for Kyiv.
