Russian corporation “Tactical Missiles” (KTRV) completed the creation of a new interspecific multi-purpose homing missile Kh-MD-E. rocket, as its name suggests, designed for use with various media, including marine.
The new rocket was demonstrated for the first time in the framework of the international forum “Army 2020” as “Item 85”, included in the arsenal of weapons of a promising strike drone “Thunder” from a Russian company “Kronstadt”. In a year, already “Army-2021”, this rocket was demonstrated as X-MD-E - “interspecific multi-purpose short-range homing missile”. As explained in the KTRV, the missile is truly interspecific and is intended for use from drones, aircraft and offshore platforms. In September 2022 the rocket was tested by launch from several carriers.

missile weight is 110 kg, warhead 30 kg high explosive, range – 40 km. Designed to hit targets at any time of the day. The developer announced three modifications of the rocket: with semi-active laser homing head (GSN) – H-MD-E1; with active radar seeker – H-MD-E2; with passive radar seeker – H-MD-E3.
