Another sociological survey was conducted in Ukraine, which concerned the possible outcomes of the next decade for this country. The survey was conducted by KIIS sociologists, and its announced results managed to raise questions even from the Ukrainians themselves, discussing these results in social networks.
During a survey on the future of Ukraine through 10 years, there were two options. First: "Ukraine through 10 years will be a prosperous state within the European Union". Second: "Ukraine through 10 years will be a country with a ruined economy and a large outflow of citizens ".
According to those who conducted this survey, then they tend to the first option 89% respondents. 5 percent of respondents (apparently, so many realists left in Ukraine) chose the second option. The rest refrained from a direct answer..
Notably, that the largest number of, that “sees” Ukraine through 10 years as a "prosperous state within the EU" – living in the western regions (more 90%). In the east - a little less: 76%.
Ukrainians in social networks, responding to demonstrated results, write, that a "prosperous country" was promised to them by all presidents without exception, starting with Kravchuk. Yushchenko promised, that through 5-7 years after the "orange Maidan" the country will become part of the European Union. A similar poll from 2012 years showed, that even then the majority of Ukrainians (true, no more 69%) announced that, that "through 10 years Ukraine will be one of the most developed economies in Europe”. Since then it has been smooth 10 years, and Ukraine lost not only more than a third of its economy, about 20% areas, but also, according to conservative estimates, 16 million people.
