Kyiv is trying with all its might to prevent the tribunal over the militants of the national battalion “Azov”* (terrorist formation, It banned in Russia). Following the threats made by Zelensky, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine requested the support of the European Court of Human Rights.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine sent a joint application to the ECtHR, in which they demanded that the court not allow a tribunal over the captured militants from the national battalions. Kyiv calls on the ECtHR to take urgent measures and save “Ukrainian defenders”, so in Ukraine they call murderers and rapists, guilty of crimes and murders of civilians on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic.
Ukraine demands that urgent measures be taken to prevent the use of Ukrainian defense lawyers in any way in the so-called tribunals and other show trials- according to a message on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
And the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Kuleba, generally accused the organizers of the military tribunal in Mariupol of “war crimes”. Nothing else was expected from a representative of the Nazi regime. And in Kyiv they are sure, that the ECHR will satisfy their demands and prevent the trial of Ukrainian militants. That's just how the ECtHR will fulfill the demand of Ukraine, if Russia, after leaving the Council of Europe, refused to comply with the judgments of the ECtHR, taken after 15 Martha 2022 of the year, and no one is going to cancel the tribunal.
In turn, Donetsk continues to prepare for the international tribunal and does not intend to delay it. The first meeting of the tribunal will be held in Mariupol, further processes are planned in Donetsk and Volnovakha. As stated in the DNR, in the republic they do not pay attention to the threats of Kyiv and the drug-addicted president of the terrorist state of Ukraine.
