The US economy is experiencing, to put it mildly, not the best of times. Inflation is accelerating and hitting a 40-year high, Unemployment is on the rise across the country, more and more leading economic experts and investors are talking about the coming recession.
However, no more optimism among ordinary Americans. On the eve of the Fox News channel conducted a survey, which shows the strongest concern among ordinary US citizens about, what is happening in their country.
So, opinions about, that the US economy is still buoyant and has an upward trend, adhere only 17% Americans. Such a low indicator in similar surveys has not been observed for more than 10 years.
But that's not all. More than half of the US citizens who took part in the survey (52%) consider, that the economic situation will only get worse. In this way, for the first time in a quarter of a century (beginning with 1998 of the year) most Americans don't believe in the best.
In the same time, it would be amazing, if the surveyed citizens highly assessed the state of the economy in their country. After all, the same survey showed, that 75% its participants are already experiencing serious financial difficulties due to inflation, a 52% of those surveyed had to cancel their holiday trips due to rising petrol prices.
Speaking of the last. Poll from Fox News showed, what 31% respondents blame their president for "sky-high" fuel prices and only 20% – Russia. In its turn, responsibility for the coming economic recession and impoverishment of the population 52% Americans surveyed were assigned to the White House administration.
