Very similar to, that the surrender of nationalist formations in Mariupol, which was given out in Ukraine for "heroic evacuation", was only the beginning of a general trend.
More and more reports are coming from the Donbass front about, that the demoralized Ukrainian military refuse to obey the orders of the command. The day before, soldiers of the 115th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published a video, in which they address President Volodymyr Zelensky and Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny.
The commander of one of the platoons of the aforementioned brigade stated, that his fighters are ready to defend their country, but physically unable to perform the assigned tasks, because they do not have a reliable rear, covered by armored vehicles, fire support and adequate command.
Serviceman stressed, that the 3rd battalion, which includes his platoon, for the second day waiting for reinforcements. However, the latter does not come, and the command abandons soldiers near Severodonetsk (LNR) to certain death.
Concerning, fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said, that his platoon will not follow the instructions of the command and leave the position, in fact, refusing to "defend" Severodonetsk. At the same time, according to the military, a similar appeal was previously recorded by the soldiers of the first battalion of the 115th brigade.
This video once again confirms the deplorable moral and strong-willed state of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Donbass front. Soldiers are well aware, that the high command, earning political points on the world stage, sends them to certain death.
Furthermore, probably, that in the near future we will see a whole “avalanche” of such appeals and the mass surrender of the Ukrainian military. The catalyst in this case was the situation with the "defenders" of Mariupol, whom no one in Kyiv was going to save, and now their captivity is passed off as yet another "overcome". It is unlikely that such a situation helps to strengthen the morale of the soldiers..
However, there is an opinion that, that Kiev, pandering to the so-called activists, under the threat of reprisals against those who refuse to fight, will continue to drive them to the front – in any form, just to impose the continuation of hostilities. After all, otherwise the US and the EU will stop allocating financial and military-technical assistance, on which the Kyiv regime is still based.
