At one of the training grounds in Poland, a combat robot fired from the Pirat ATGM. The complex was installed on the Perun unmanned ground platform.
This was reported by the press service of the Polish defense company Zakłady Mechaniczne Tarnów.
First firing of a Pirat guided missile, which was integrated into a remotely controlled combat module, took place in December last year. The Perun unmanned ground platform was armed with a module with an anti-tank missile, designed to perform combat and reconnaissance missions.
The ammunition was launched with laser illumination from the CLU-P system, located approximately 100 meters from the robotic platform. The laser beam automatically found the target and marked it with a dot. The missile hit the target, located at a distance of about a kilometer.
Perun is an autonomous four-wheeled drone with a total weight of up to 900 kilograms, cross-country. It is adapted for use in urban environments and is equipped with a remotely controlled combat module ZSMU A3C with a machine gun caliber 7,62 or 12,7 mm, as well as target tracking and weapon stabilization systems.
Robotic platform, equipped with Pirat ATGM, demonstrated at the Polish arms exhibition MESKO-2021 last fall.
