The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attracted sappers from the British-American organization HALO Trust to demining the controlled territories (Hazardous Area Life-Support organization – Organization of life support in hazardous areas). At the moment, work on checking the terrain and demining is being carried out in the area of the settlement of Shchastia. The reason for attracting foreign sappers – indiscriminate mining, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been engaged in for seven years and the lack of maps of minefields.

note, that this is not the first appearance of HALO Trust sappers in the Donbass, before that, they appeared near the demarcation line in July of this year near the village of Zolote-2.
Meanwhile, in the area of responsibility of the 57th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, under the guise of neutralizing explosive objects, additional mines were installed. The work was carried out by military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine without the involvement of foreign sappers. There is information about the installation of anti-tank mines TM-62 and anti-personnel PM-2.
