The first serial multipurpose nuclear submarine of the modernized project 885M (“Ash-M”) “Novosibirsk” started to undergo factory sea trials. The submarine entered the White Sea for the first time at one of the Northern Fleet's sea ranges.
At the moment, there is no information about the factory sea trials program and the timing of chemical testing.. As a source in the defense industry told, quoted by TASS, Premier League “Novosibirsk” 1 July 2021 went to sea for the first time. There is a crew and delivery team on board.
According to reports, factory sea trials will smoothly transition into state trials, within the framework of which the submarine will make several trips to the sea and fire cruise missiles “Caliber” and “onyx”. Broadcast “Novosibirsk” joining the fleet is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.
Nuclear submarine K-573 “Novosibirsk” is the second in the series and the first production submarine of the project “Ash-M” after the head “Kazan”. Bet on Sevmashe 26 July 2013 of the year, launched 25 December 2019 of the year.
