"A new stage in life"
— Irina Viktorovna, at the premiere of "The History of a Town" at the Moscow Art Theater, the audience saw Ivan Zolotukhin on the professional stage for the first time, your 17 year old son. do you think, that a new period has come in your life, successful and happy?
— More than 40 children - students of the Children's Theater Center "Premiera" aged from 5 to 16 years and the choreographic group "Gulliver". One of the main roles is played by Vanya, and I'm very happy for him, because, it seems to me, he is doing well. This is a project of the Valery Zolotukhin Cultural Foundation, which is implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund. In this project, I acted as a director and author of the dramatization.
But a new stage in my life has begun, rather, with the arrival of the troupe of the Moscow Art Theater. Gorky. Before that, there were several last quite empty years on Taganka. Now I'm in a new team, which i really like, new works, new roles, new performances, new energy, atmosphere. In fact, seven premieres in one season, including directorial work with a children's play.
And all this in one year, in which the pandemic intervened?
- I don't understand, how was it possible, everyone has a pandemic, and here is the premiere after the premiere. Another premiere 23 April, performance by Dmitry Bikbaev "On the stream", which will take place at the Moscow Art Theater. Gorky.
- What caused the transition to a new theater?
— Each new leader has his own vision, how to run a theater, who to take in performances, whom to invite. If you do not get into the clip for one reason or another, this is not your place and vice versa. When I was offered a job at the Moscow Art Theater, I first participated in one project, in a different, looked closely, understanding, what is the next important step i have to take 25 years of work in one place. I think, I was not mistaken.
- In what capacity, in what role is your acting data used?
– The first work was a series of poetry evenings “The Season of Poems”, where I read Vodennikov's poems. The second work is a role in the play "Non-resort romance, real stories of real women. Very curious format - verbatim, and this genre, such an existence on stage was unusual for me. The show remains one of my favorites to this day., and the team there is wonderful - Alika Smekhova, Alisa Grebenshchikova and other actresses.
Later, I played Lyubov Orlova in the musical performance "Red Mozart" and appeared as Marlene Dietrich in "Nuremberg Waltz". There was also a premiere in the cinema this season - in the fall, a four-episode mini-series "Abricol" was released with my participation.
“Lubimov could not be imposed on anything”
Did you have the task of proving, what is an actress - Irina Lindt?
- Think, that the name of Valery Zolotukhin gave me access to roles, - delusion. I played in the theater, led by Lyubimov. He couldn't force anything.. And outside the Taganka Theater, I had international projects - the main role in the English musical, in Japan I worked for Tadashi Suzuki, played Roxanne Cyrano de Bergerac, worked with a French director, won a grant for an internship in Italy…
If the name Zolotukhin would not have stood nearby, then write about it, perhaps, in a different context, and not only sorted out stories from private life. Over time, I learned to ignore the whispers. Do what you must and come what may, I think.
Do you answer invitations to talk shows??
- In recent years, I have refused any interviews., but recently took a chance to come to the program of Boris Korchevnikov. The producers of the program convinced me, that all will be well… But even the audience, commenting on the broadcast on the Internet, wrote: "What nonsense, the heroine of the program - Lindt, and all the questions about Zolotukhin".
This year is the eightieth birthday of Valery Sergeevich, and they start to invite me everywhere again. One side, I want to pay tribute to the memory of a loved one, my child's father, say some good words. The contradiction is, that are mounted for the sole purpose of arousing interest among the public. Can, i'm wrong, but the viewer has long wanted something bright and kind, not behind-the-scenes details.
What is your conflict with public opinion?, what's wrong?
- I don't have any conflict.. Unclear, Why are people attracted to negativity?, why do they choose to believe in some untruth. They start pulling out some stories about the wife, about the son of Zolotukhin. come up with, without delving into, Not understanding, not knowing the real reason. I try to ignore and not participate in such discussions.. I just don't like it, when strangers pry into other people's privacy. Digging into someone else's personal life is indecent.
- Are you afraid, that this kind of gossip can play a role in a child's life?
- No, Ivan knows, what was his father, he saw him, saw our relationship, and don't convince him. rather, he will listen to me, rather than read the untruthful "yellowness". We discussed all these things with him..
Has your professional renaissance affected your personal life as well?? maybe, changes are coming?
- I treat people with respect, who were in my life, and never say anything bad about them. Vladimir Vysotsky said: "Don't talk bad about people, thus you add to this world of evil ". Now I have a completely different life, other theater and other roles.
Everything's fine with me. I have a wonderful life, has its problems, there is good. The main thing in life is to find inner balance, rest, harmony. Then nothing will lead you astray. If there is no good in the heart, love for loved ones, to yourself, to the world around - it is impossible to become happy.
"I am a happy man"
— Beyond creative, you are faced with the task of supporting yourself, son, be responsible for his socialization. help you?
- Financially, I do not depend on anyone, I earn my own living. Periods are different, sometimes you have to hold back some of your needs. From the side does not "drip", no. I am working.
- You make a holiday out of your birthday?
— I'm philosophical about it.. My father's date of death is the same as my birthday. There is a belief: if a loved one leaves on your birthday, it means he loved you the most.
- Lyubov Orlova and Marlene Dietrich - female legends, stars. What did you discover, working on these roles?
- The actor is so arranged, what, working on a role, he willy-nilly tries on the biography of the hero on himself, trying to find similarities, draws parallels. Here is the detail: when I saw a photo of the former house of Lyubov Orlova in Vnukovo, It had a feeling, that this is a photograph of my house - with exactly the same outdoor terrace for receiving guests.
Well, and Marlene Dietrich is a more complicated lady. I am half Russian, half german. It was necessary to “pull out” that, and another part, to play both. There is more softness and openness in Orlova, radiance and tenderness. And vice versa, stiffness and coldness German some in Dietrich. These are two different colors., it would seem, very similar women.
Acting high I experience, playing Dietrich, despite, that there is only one dramatic scene and four vocal numbers. Both performances are musical, and I sing in Russian, and in German. It all depends on that, how the performance was decided. In Orlova, the role drawing does not allow revealing the character himself so, as much as I would like.
At what age did you feel happy??
- I feel quite comfortable now.. Yes, I am a happy man, I got a lot, I hope so too, what else can I do in this life, so it's a sin to complain about fate.
