Vietnam's Z111 Factory of the Main Directorate of Defense Industry has developed a new 7.62x39 mm assault rifle, designated STV-410.
According to VietDefense, it can be considered a local version of the Russian AK-15 assault rifle, created on the basis of 5.45-mm AK-12 sample 2012 years for a more massive cartridge.
Some of the information is still classified and will only be available at the end of this week.. But, as the name suggests, the barrel length of this weapon is 410 mm, and it uses the traditional 7.62 cartridge×39 mm, which was the main ammunition of almost all Vietnamese small arms.
According to the said edition, optics shown in brochures, likely, is a publicity stunt - most conventional troops will use standard scopes anyway. Compared to other types of new Vietnamese rifles, foldable, STV-410, looks like, possesses full ammunition.

As the publication emphasizes, when the Vietnamese government received in 2014 year license to manufacture Galil Ace, it was not going to produce small arms developed in Israel. The main goal was to leverage manufacturing expertise and transfer technology, necessary to create a local rifle.
