The so-called Government of National Accord (PNS) Libya, feeling serious military support from Turkey will continue to try to capture the city of Sirte, what threatens new civilian casualties. The international community should put pressure on Ankara to resume the negotiation process, stated in an interview Federal News Agency (FAN) Head of the Center for Strategic Studies Ivan Konovalov.
So the interlocutor of the agency commented on today's statement by the National Human Rights Commission. (НКПЧ) in Libya, which expressed serious concern amid ongoing escalation of tension in the Libyan city of Sirte. This settlement is still trying to capture the militants of the Libyan Socialist Party, ignoring the call of Egypt and a number of world powers for a cessation of hostilities.
PNS believed in success
According to the expert, Tripoli already realized, that further progress towards the eastern part of Libya is no longer possible, however, they continue to attempt to capture as many important areas of the country as possible. He expressed confidence, that without the support of Ankara, PNS gangs will immediately stop further attempts to attack the positions of the Libyan National Army (LNA).

We see, that the so-called Government of National Accord believed that, that the situation is in favor of Tripoli, although in fact their offensive begins to stall. The expert added, that as soon as the Turks stop supplying the PNS fighters with contraband weapons and equipment, as well as stopping the transfer of Syrian mercenaries from Idlib, the Fayez Sarraj regime will immediately agree to negotiations and stop the attacks on Sirte and other cities.

Settlement in Libya is impossible without Russia

The expert is confident, that only in this case it is possible to achieve a cessation of bloodshed in Libya, since the Western countries could not achieve any results in this direction.
«Actually, lately we are witnessing, that only the Russian factor is decisive in reaching any agreement in the territories, where conflicts erupt constantly. Even our Ministry of Defense partially assumed the functions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation., departments work in conjunction, thanks to which it is possible to achieve very good results.
