APU received a new batch of modernized tanks T-64 and T-72
Armed forces of Ukraine received the next batch of modernized tanks T-64 and T-72. According to the press service of the GP “Lviv Armored Plant”, the transfer of tanks, the company completed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine under state guarantees.

Total, as the message says, APU transferred four T-64 tanks and two T-72. Upgraded tanks received “modern navigation aids, reliable radio, weapons and defense improvements”.

As previously reported, modernization of T-64 tanks at the Lviv armored plant mastered only in 2019 year, previously, the modernization of T-64 tanks of this type was carried out only by the Kharkov Armored Plant. During the modernization, the machines are equipped with thermal imagers, digital radio stations, satellite navigation and new dynamic protection.

The previous batch of six T-64 tanks Lviv Armored Plant handed over to the APU in March 2020 of the year.
