VTsIOM conducted a survey, which is dedicated to the theme of the upcoming holiday - Defender of the Fatherland Day. The survey was devoted to the question of whether, who should be congratulated on this day and how many compatriots served in the ranks of power structures.

Here it should be noted, that the VTsIOM poll included both men, so do women. Among the men surveyed, the percentage of those who served in the army was 61.
About 40 percent of Russians surveyed consider, what in 23 February you need to congratulate only those, who has completed or is currently doing military service. That thought, that on Defender of the Fatherland Day you need to congratulate all men, adhere to 27% VTsIOM respondents. 15 years ago, this indicator was approaching 50 percent.
