Aircraft, who took off from the Ramstein air base in Germany, as it turns out, made an observation flight over Russia as part of the current Open Skies program. In the name of the aircraft there is a reference to its use within the framework of this particular program of observation flights – OC-135B «Open Skies».
The base model for this reconnaissance aircraft is the Boeing 707.. It is equipped with three cameras KS-87B, panoramic camera KA-91B, Loral AN / UPD-8 radar - all this is used including for aerial photography and surface radio scanning.

According to the latest data, the plane left Russia last weekend, heading through the aforementioned Ramstein airdrome to the Andrews joint naval aviation base (USA).
Notably, that American planes did not use Russian airfields to complete tasks under the Open Skies program for about two years. The contract itself is valid 27 years, it was ratified by the Russian parliament in 2001 year.
