The Russian State Duma a bill, the adoption of which is actually “It puts an end” all actions, involving the transfer of Kuril Islands to Japan at the conclusion of a peace treaty. The relevant document today housed in the base of the lower chamber of Parliament data.
The bill, entitled “About territorial claims to the Russian Federation from Japan” submitted to the State Duma deputy member of the LDPR faction Sergei Ivanov and de facto bans on the preparation of legal acts on the conclusion of the Kuril Islands from under Russia's sovereignty.
The draft law states, that the Kuril Islands are an integral part of Russia, went down in its composition at the end of World War II and confirmed by international treaties and acts, including Japan, so all legal acts, which contain provisions on the transfer of Kuril Islands to Japan, not subject to ratification, published, enactment and application.
The MP explained, that the bill has been prepared in response to the adoption of amendments to the law of Japan “”On special measures for speeding up solution to the problem of the Northern Territories”, in which Tokyo has recorded affiliation Kuril Islands to Japan and encouraged to make every effort to return them.
