УЗГА создаёт двигатель для самолёта L-410

This engine is designed for installation on a Czech aircraft L-410, assembly of which is localized at the Yekaterinburg enterprise.

According to program manager Mikhail Peresadin, engine flight tests planned to begin by summer 2019 of the year. After receiving type certificate, approximately at 2020 year, the motor will be put into mass production. Some work on components to accelerate the process were transferred to other Russian companies.

The resource recalls, that the development of VK-800S is carried out on behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Trade as part of the import substitution program - the designers were instructed to use only domestic components in the engine. The Office has already placed an order for 2 aircraft L-410UVP-E20 with engines of Russian production.

At the enterprise noted, that in the first place the engine will be installed on the L-410, since there are already orders for the plane itself. In the future, other aircraft will be equipped with VK-800S engines (what kind of cars are we talking about, not explained).

according to information, VK-800C is a turboprop modification of the helicopter turboshaft engine VK-800V, developed by the company "UEC-Klimov". Currently, L-410UVP-E20 aircraft are operated in Russia with M601 and H80 engines from GE Aviation Czech.
