It became known, that the prospective Russian-Chinese helicopter AHL (Advanced Heavy Lifter) Ukrainian will receive engines from the company "Motor Sich". Specialists immediately arose about this logical question: Why participate in the project, Russia and China, and the engines at the same time will be purchased from Ukraine? This question is answered by the head of the aviation segment of the corporation "Rostec" Anatoly Serdyukov in an interview with RBC.
According to the former Minister of Defense of Russia, on the purchase of Ukrainian engines it insisted the Chinese side, because "it is the leading developer, and her to decide whether, What engine helicopter will be equipped with ".
Serdyukov:
But I know, what if “Rostec” would make engine for AHL, it would have made much more modern and more economical, than that, who is now “Motor Sich”.
But if so, why, then, the Russian party cooperation could not convince the Chinese that, that the purchase of engines should be implemented in Russia, at least for the simple reason, that Russia, Ukraine is not the very cooperative aspect of the project promising helicopter?

The head of the aviation segment "Rostec", I am trying to find an excuse for the actual loss of the possibility to conclude a contract for the supply of Russian engines for AHL, announced, that for large helicopters, "the most difficult thing is not so much the engine, as the gearbox and the overall design ".
