Approved for the post of head of the Audit Chamber of Russia Alexei Kudrin came on the eve of a meeting with the deputies of the faction "United Russia" in the State Duma. Kudrin, the deputy asked questions, associated with the macroeconomic situation in Russia and in the world. One of the questions was about the continuing US sanctions against the background of Russian capital investments in US debt securities. We asked Kudrin, whether to discontinue the practice of this kind of investment is not time.

In the mild form, he (Kudrin) made it clear, considers that allocation of foreign exchange reserves and the state savings in US securities is quite acceptable. He said, what, of course, it is necessary to take into account the political risks in decision-making, but at the moment he sees no alternatives.
Recall, that the outcome 2017 , the share of Russian foreign reserves in US dollars rose from 40,4% to 45,8%. This significantly reduced the proportion of gold reserves in euros. In this way, Russia's financial system continues to not only make investments in US debt, but these investments increase. And it is unlikely in the medium term, the situation in this respect in some way change. This makes it clear, and former Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin, which the United States at the time was called almost the best finance minister in the world.
