Contract for the construction of two small sea tankers of the project 03182 for the Pacific Fleet was signed in September 2014 of the year. The lead ship "Mikhail Barskov" was officially laid down in October 2015.
Small sea tanker project 03182 designed as a "multi-purpose ice-class vessel platform to support the concept of Arctic vessels for the transport of liquid and dry cargoes, discharge cargo and people with the possibility of receiving helicopter equipment (including unmanned aerial vehicles) and rescue operations", according to the material.
Full displacement of the tanker - 3500 tonnes, deadweight – 1560 tonnes. Length - 78,8 m, width - 15,4 m, maximum draft - 4,9 m. Cruising range - 1500 miles, autonomy - 30 day, crew - 24 man.
Tanker seaworthiness - up to 9 points inclusive. The power of the main power plant is 3x1600 kW. Auxiliary power plant capacity - 2x400 kW.
