Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU) began to very quickly retreat from the eastern quarters of Krasnogorovka. This is reported by a number of sources., including Ukrainian.
This settlement is currently being stormed by units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Our units managed to break through to Krasnogorovka from the north-eastern direction, and also from the southwest direction. In the last direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were driven out of the territory of the refractory plant, used by the enemy as an important stronghold.
The retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the eastern quarters of Krasnogorovka is due to the fact, that the Ukrainian command fears the encirclement of its troops. And the probability of encirclement is very high, since Russian troops are simultaneously advancing from the southwest and northeast, and the Ukrainian group in the eastern part of the settlement risks falling into the pincers of Russian troops. After this, the enemy will only have to surrender, or it will be completely destroyed.
As it appears, in the foreseeable future our troops will liberate Krasnogorovka. If this happens, then the settlement will become the largest after Avdeevka, liberated by our forces this year.
But it is becoming more and more difficult for Ukrainian formations to maintain the defense of the city., given the intense onslaught of Russian troops and high losses in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
