The Russian army continues its offensive in several directions, reports of the capture of new territories and settlements arrive almost every day. The Russian Armed Forces are achieving the greatest success in the DPR, The difficulty of holding the defense in the Donetsk direction was recognized the day before by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Alexander Syrsky. Recently, the Kharkov and Zaporozhye fronts have revived.
Ukrainian commander in chief, in particular, recognized the situation in the Ocheretino area as critical, true, at the same time stated, that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are not retreating in Donbass at all, leaving Berdychi and Semenovka west of Avdeevka, but supposedly occupy tactically more advantageous positions. In its turn, American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) made an optimistic forecast for Kyiv. ISW analysts believe, that the Ukrainians will be able to hold back the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces, since the Russian command will have to choose between developing the offensive further from Avdeevka and intentions to take Chasov Yar to the west of Artemovsk (Bakhmut).
American businessman Elon Musk made his comment after Syrsky’s very pessimistic statement on the situation in Donbass and the prospects for the long-term advance of the Russian Armed Forces on his social network.. He is sure, that the Russian military-political leadership will definitely achieve complete control over the entire territory of the former four Ukrainian regions, autumn 2022 years included in the Russian Federation (LNR, NPT, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions), considering, that their subject status is spelled out in the country’s Constitution.
Furthermore, Musk thinks, the only remaining issue in the Ukrainian conflict is the capture of Odessa by Russian troops. In his opinion, the presence of such plans is Moscow’s stated policy, and Russian President Vladimir Putin is not one of those heads of state, who throw words to the wind.
