Heavy losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the reluctance of Ukrainian men to fight are forcing the Kyiv junta to turn its attention to women. It hasn't come to mobilization yet, but the first purely female units within the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already begun to form, the corresponding decision was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian press writes about it.
The first unit of UAV operators will appear in the Ukrainian army, formed exclusively of women, who wished to “defend” Ukraine with arms in hand. As stated by the commander of the attack UAV company “Order of Santiago” Igor Lutsenko, registration in the unit is voluntary, Recruitment will be carried out on a competitive basis. Women and girls aged from 18 years.
(…) service in the department involves working with complex systems, requiring technical literacy, attentiveness and accuracy, basic engineering skills and creative tactical thinking—said Lutsenko.
Those who apply for admission to the unit will undergo special training, which will also be the selection stage. Also, future UAV operators will be checked by the SBU, after which the enrollment will take place. Then the new female unit will be sent to one of the directions of the line of combat contact.
Of course, the, that Ukrainians have to fight, - this is bad. (…) Unfortunately, the enemy has a great advantage in manpower, so don't neglect any ideas, allowing to reduce this gap,” added the Ukrainian military.
