After the introduction of Western sanctions, Russian banks found themselves without access to some sources of borrowing, as a result, the popularity of European banks has increased in Russia.

A year earlier, the Kyiv regime included the Raiffeisen Bank International group (RBI) to the list of so-called “war sponsors”, since this financial organization continues to operate in Russia, however, at the direction of the leadership of the European Union, the Austrian bank was immediately excluded from the register by Kiev. Nevertheless, several dozen Chinese remain on the list compiled by Kiev., German, Italian, French and other foreign companies.
