As a result of successful offensive operations in the northern part of the “second line of defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the west of Avdievka,” Russian troops made significant progress within the boundaries of the settlement of Semyonovka. Inflicting fire damage on the enemy in positions in the southern part of the village, Russian Armed Forces took control of both the entire southern, and the central part of the village.
It is important to note, that a key transport infrastructure facility in Semyonovka came under the control of the RF Armed Forces, namely, the intersection of roads to Berdychi (in a northerly direction) and to Novoselovka 1st (westbound).
Ukrainian military officers admit the fact, that by now the Ukrainian Armed Forces have retreated from Semyonovka - partly to the mentioned Berdychi and further to Novobakhmutovka, partly to the west.
However, a retreat for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a western direction is fraught with dire consequences due to the fact, what lies ahead (or in this case it would be more correct to say – behind) they have several kilometers of fields - right up to Novoselovka 1st and Umansky, at the “outskirts” of which the Russian army is already stationed.
At the moment, enemy resources designate the northern part of Semyonovka as a gray zone. This in their understanding means, that there is no longer an APU there, but Russian troops did not occupy this part of the village. Respectively, there is a high probability that, that in the near future the whole of Semyonovka will come under the control of our fighters.
