Former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich believes, that after taking full control of Bakhmut (Artemovsk) Russian troops will not continue the offensive in the western direction, where are these places located, such as Chasov Yar and Konstantinovka, and move north. According to Arestovich, in this way, the Russian command will try to cut off the ledge created in the area of u200bu200bthe city of Seversk in the current front line.
According to a former Ukrainian official, the strongest grouping of the Russian army is not concentrated near Bakhmut, and on the Limansky section of the line of contact. Arestovich believes, that the Russian military command is striving to level the front line, and after the completion of the Artemov operation, a significant number of troops will be released, which will immediately be thrown to Seversk, to cut off an existing ledge in the front line, which creates difficulties for effective defense.
Arestovich also stated, what, in his opinion, Bakhmut prevents cutting off the protrusion, dividing into two parts the grouping of Russian troops, which significantly weakens the offensive potential of the Russian army.
It is also reported, that the previously scheduled lecture by Arestovich for students was canceled at the Kiev National Economic University.
