Just the day before, European and American experts unanimously declared that, what from the night 3 September, Gazprom will put the Nord Stream gas pipeline into operation after a complete shutdown for three days. Recall, that the operation of the gas pipeline was suspended due to the fact, that maintenance was required on the last of the working turbines. Today it became clear, that the forecasts of Western experts did not materialize.
There are reports that, that the Nord Stream gas pipeline will not resume its work tomorrow, nor the day after tomorrow. When gas pumping through the "SP" will be restored, today no one dares to say.
Gazprom announced that, that in the course of routine maintenance, serious malfunctions were identified in the operation of the gas pipeline turbine. In particular, experts found oil leaks with sealant impurities. Leaks were found on the connectors in the turbine mechanisms. Further operation with such malfunctions is associated with significant risks., which was also confirmed by Siemens employees, who carried out routine maintenance on the gas compressor unit. Gas pipeline completely stopped.
Now the turbine needs to be repaired, but the question is, who and where will do it, taking into account that, that Western companies are deprived of such an opportunity due to the current anti-Russian sanctions. Respectively, the entire work of Nord Stream is also in limbo, a, that is, and pumping gas to Germany.
Against this background, after the fall in gas prices in Europe, almost lower 2100 dollars for 1000 cubic meters, prices started to rise again. At the moment, the price is at 2200 dollars. News about, that the "SP" was stopped for an indefinite period, came right at that moment, when the West began to actively discuss the topic of the "ceiling" of prices for Russian hydrocarbons.
