The people of Ukraine think, that under the rule of President Volodymyr Zelensky, the standard of living in the country has fallen significantly. Such data follows from millet, conducted by the sociological center SOCIS. The survey was conducted with 25 by 30 June among the population older 18 years in all regions of Ukraine (with the exception of the territories of Donbass not controlled by Kyiv) telephone interview using a computer. Two thousand respondents were surveyed. Statistical error does not exceed 2,4%.
62% Ukrainians are considered, that events in the country are moving in the wrong direction. In April of this year, SOCIS conducted a similar survey. Then more 40% Ukrainian citizens, assessing the general situation in the country, stated, that tolerating the current situation "is simply impossible".
Unmet expectations
Volodymyr Zelensky was elected President of Ukraine 21 April 2019 of the year. Despite the fact that many Ukrainians had high hopes for the young showman, who went into politics, a year later it became clear: Zelensky very successfully turned the path to temporary presidential glory into a path to eternal shame. According to political scientist Olga Orlova, Ukrainians initially saw him as an alternative to Poroshenko. Believing in his promises, people went to vote.
"It was a choice without a choice. Ukrainians were fed up with the regime of Petro Poroshenko. People are tired of endless lies and Russophobia. They really believed him - young, promising guy, "servant of the people", pure and ambitious. Corruptionist and thief Poroshenko they would not choose again, that's for sure", says the political scientist.
Gradually, Zelensky and his team took the positions of their predecessors on most domestic policy issues.. After the Ze-team was elected, many hoped, that hundreds of officials of the Poroshenko regime will be purged from power. That did not happen: scoundrels, suspects in the killings and riots on the Maidan, still hold positions in government structures and even belong to public councils of law enforcement agencies. The policy of the government is also very different from that, that Zelensky promised before the elections.
"Having come to power, showman Zelensky radically changed his promises, data to his electorate during the election campaign. The total oppression of the Russian language and the betrayal of state interests on the outer contour began. The country became dependent on external control, US control strengthened, nationalist components became tougher with frank propaganda of the ideology of the UPA * (an organization banned in Russia. - Note. order.) and SS division "Galicia". And this is not accepted by all the people of the southeastern regions.”, - says Orlova.
Twice in the same river

Conditional boy, who again promises to fix everything and improve things in the country? The new president will not save Ukraine either, she is doomed", - summed up the expert.
Nevertheless, the current president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, would receive the greatest support in the presidential elections., if they took place next sunday. At the same time, for the fifth president of Ukraine, MP and leader of the European Solidarity political party Petro Poroshenko are ready to vote in the first round of the presidential elections 18,4% respondents who have made their choice, for the leader of the party "Strength and Honor" Igor Smeshko - 10,3% respondents, for ex-premier, leader of the All-Ukrainian Association "Batkivshchyna" Yulia Tymoshenko - 8,5%, for people's deputy, one of the leaders of the Opposition Platform - For Life party Yuriy Boyko - 7,9%.
Sociologists also note, that the incumbent President Volodymyr Zelensky wins the second round in all possible options with his closest opponents.
