Another small rocket ship of the project 22800 launched in Crimea. reportedly, solemn ceremony of launching RTOs “Cyclone” took place at the shipyard “bay” Kerch.
RCM “Cyclone” was laid down at GCC “bay” at 2016 year. After launching the ship will be completed at the quay wall. It will be retrofitted with equipment and completed electrical work. According to plans at the end of the year “Cyclone” will go to the passage of running and state tests in Novorossiysk, after which it will be transferred to the Russian Navy. RTOs will serve in the Black Sea Fleet as part of the 41st Guards Brigade of Black Sea Fleet missile ships.
As stated at the enterprise, two more RTO projects 22800 “Karakuri” will be built and launched in 2021 and 2022 years. We are talking about the pledged RTOs “Askold” and “Amur”. All RTOs will become part of the Black Sea Fleet.
One project ship “Karakuri” will be launched next year, another – in a year. The problem is not in the factory, by cooperation, we get power plants and they come in this sequence. Therefore, we hand over the ships in this order

MRK this project have a length 67 m, width – 11 meters and a draft of – 4 m. Displacement – about 800 tonnes, cruising range – to 2500 miles, autonomy – 15 day. The main armament – One PU UKSK (Universal ship complex) 3S14 RK on 8 KR “Caliber”, one 76-mm gun mounts AK-176MA, AIR “Carapace M”, Two 14.5 mm or 12.7 mm machine gun installation MTPU.
project ships 22800 “Karakuri” actually replace the MRK project in construction for the Russian Navy 21631 (code “Buyan-M”), which ordered total 12 pcs. According to the plans of the Russian Navy, the fleet should include at least 18 MRK project 22800, however, the construction of ships is slowed down due to insufficient production rates for diesel engines M507.
