The media reported on the entry into service of the Russian army of a unique unmanned aerial vehicle "Orlan-30".
As the newspaper Izvestia notes, citing an unnamed source at the Russian Ministry of Defense, the drone will appear in the Russian army in 2020 year. The novelty was tested in Syria and at the international exercises "Center-2019".
Orlan-30 boasts an improved optoelectronic system and a special guidance system. Its starting mass is 30 kg. Range of flight - 300 km.
The drone is capable of reconnaissance of targets with further determination of their exact coordinates. This device is assisted by the global navigation systems GLONASS and GPS.. Thanks to "Orlan-30", the efficiency of firing high-precision ammunition will increase.
