All European countries bought into 2018 year 48,91 million. t LPG (on 6,4% more, than in 2017 year). The largest increase occurred in Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Turkey and Malta. At the same time Greece, Lithuania, Sweden and Spain have reduced LNG imports.
Russia surpassed the United States and in the most attractive market for LNG - Asia. The export of Russian natural fuel to Asia reached last year 12,86 million. t, US - 10,73 million. t. Leadership in this market hold on to Australia (66,54 million. t). In second place Qatar (56,78 million. t), on the third - Malaysia (24,66 million. t).
Globally, LNG imports rose last year 8,3% and made 313,8 million. tonnes. Thus sold liquefied gas 20 nations, and bought 42 countries.
LNG volume growth contributed mainly to open new production facilities in Australia, The United States and Russia, where the project "Yamal LNG" launched, created by the company "Novatek", together with its foreign partners. In February, ten million tons of LNG was sent from the field.
