It designed to engage air threats, including cruise missiles and guided air, for short range: height – to 5 km, in range – to 10 km. The complex is designed for the benefit of the Army to cover up the connections from various threats from the air in motion, and on positions. For the first time experts have familiarized with SAM “Pine” at 2013 year, at 2016 It decided on the setting of the complex Russian Army.
On the complex are armed with anti-aircraft guided missiles 9M340 “Pine-R” in the amount of 12 pcs, located in launchers, as well as communication systems and target detection. Missiles equipped with laser guidance system, as well as the contact and remote laser fuse. The maximum speed of the rocket – 900 meters per second.
