The new model of the Czechoslovak wheel SAU Eva was presented during the exhibition IDEB, held these days in Bratislava. Self-propelled howitzer received 8-Wheel Tatra chassis, an auxiliary power unit and new armored cab, transfers “Warspot” with reference to the portal defence-blog.com
Initial “six-wheeled” self-propelled version of Eva was shown three years ago, at IDET exhibition 2015, held in the Czech city of Brno by KONSTRUKTA – Defence (actually Artillery KB, which is part of the Slovak holding DMD Group).
Eva Tatra T815-7 is mounted on the chassis 8 × 8.1R and has dimensions: 11,5 m in length, 2,7 - wide and 3,3 m - tall. weight is 28 t, which allows it to move freely on public roads, and placed in the cargo compartment of Airbus A400M transport planes and Il-76.
